Why are my eyebrows uneven? This happens because of two things. The first is that it’s genetic. Some people are born with eyebrows that grow at different angles, so they don’t grow evenly.
Secondly, if you pluck your eyebrows unevenly, this will cause the hair to either not grow back or grow in an off-angle.
The key to fixing this problem is patience, time, and your homemade eyebrow gel! Trust me on this one, okay? It’s very simple. First, let’s talk about what you absolutely have to have for this project.

There have many reasons why eyebrows are uneven. Sometimes it might be because you tweezed them yourself, or they were plucked by someone else that didn’t know what they were doing.

I have listed few reasons below:
1. The hair is growing in different directions.
2. The eyebrow hairs are of the same thickness/color/length, but one brow is thinner than the other. This can happen when you pluck too hard on one side and not hard enough on another, or if only half of each eyebrow grew back after plucking.
3. Same as 2., but both brows are damaged.
4. They’re uneven because your natural brows are uneven due to different hair growth patterns on each eyebrow or the eyes being at different heights.
5. The corner of one eye is drooping lower than the other, changing the angle of your brow. This is most common with people who have had a stroke or Bell’s Palsy.
6. The brow unevenness is caused by scarring, either from a burn or an accident.
And so on…
These are just a few possible reasons why your eyebrows might be uneven, and I am sure there are more than this! So it is safe to say that we all have felt the embarrassment of having uneven eyebrows at least once in our lives.
How to Fix eyebrows unevenness
There are way too many ways to fix this problem. Some of them are more invasive, while others might be non-invasive. I will list a few of them here, so you can choose which one works best for your case.
1. Permanent Makeup
The first thing you want to do is go get your eyebrows tattooed or microblade. This is the safest way to fix this problem because permanent makeup pretty much means permanent eyebrows.
If you’re looking for someone to do your eyebrows, don’t look any further than Ms. Snarky Eyebrows! She’s a great person and an amazing artist as well as she does such a wonderful job with eyebrows! She worked on my eyebrows, and they look beautiful.
2. Tweeze them yourself carefully
This can be difficult because you have to know how to pluck your eyebrows the right way, but it is possible if you’re careful enough.
After plucking your brows, make sure not to tweeze again for at least a month. Your brow hair needs time to grow back, and if you tweeze it three times in one month, this can cause even more problems than what it already is!
3. Plucking them at home with a pair of Tweezers
This might be an obvious answer to many of you, but pluck your eyebrows at home carefully with your tweezers. If you pluck them one by one, it’ll take time, but if you’re willing to do this, then go for it! I know how tedious this can be because I tried doing this.
The feeling of putting my makeup on, looking in the mirror, and seeing that both eyebrows are uneven is depressing! It’s very discouraging, and you might even give up, but don’t do that! It just takes time, and with a little patience, you will get there.
4. Threading them with a pair of Tweezers
If you know how to thread your eyebrows with a pair of tweezers, then go for it! But if you’re not sure how to do this, then take a look at the following video. It will show you how to thread your eyebrows without any problems!
5. Waxing them off with a pair of Tweezers
This seems like a crazy idea, but if you’re willing to give it a try, then go for it! The only downside of waxing is that it takes time.
And if you’re not careful enough, your eyebrows can get damaged more than they already are. Make sure to watch some on how to wax them off with a pair of tweezers before doing this!
6. Microblading them off with cream or gel
This might be the newest way to fix this problem, and it’s becoming more and more popular each day because of how safe it is to use.
You can get your eyebrows microbladed off, but make sure to only go with the best place! If you want to read an article about who I recommend, please click here (link)
7. Shaving them off completely with a razor
If you’re not afraid of shaving them completely off, then go for it! You may think that this doesn’t seem like a good idea, but it’s actually the fastest way to fix your eyebrows.
Just make sure to remove all your makeup before doing this because if you don’t, you might end up with some horrible results… Trust me!
The Bottom Line
One of the main reasons for having one eyebrow appear higher than the other is it is thicker. The hair on that brow can be more coarse, or there might just be less hair in general.
Another cause could be an injury to your eyebrows which left them unbalanced after they healed. You may also have uneven eyebrows. If you’ve had electrolysis done and only half of your forehead was treated with a needle electrode rather than both sides being treated.
If none of these are true for you, I would recommend getting evaluated by a dermatologist who specializes in skin conditions like this to identify any underlying diseases or infections that need treatment before making recommendations about how best to proceed.
